The Green and Orange teams of the Southern Illinois Adult Soccer League will continue the ancient struggle down the road from Turley Park in the bogs of Parrish Park on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 3:30 pm. The rivalry between these two teams dates back to the days of yore (as the Green team won the first two Irish Festival matches while the Orange team won the last two) and most recently when the Orange Team won the Spring 2011 season by beating the Green Team in the Championship game by a score of 4 to nil. True members of all Celtic Clans won’t want to miss this year’s exciting match as the Green team is ripe for revenge. For info about the league, see www.siasl.org
